Skrzyczne, the highest peak in the Silesian Beskids, rises to 1,257 m above sea level and is a popular tourist destination. The name comes from the croaking of frogs that once inhabited the pond between Skrzyczne and Małe Skrzyczne. There are hiking trails and a cable car to the top, and from its summit there are picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and the Żywiec Basin, with a characteristic 87-meter RTV transmitter mast.
